Mitchell Traver

As an athlete, Mitchell has invested significant time and effort into the sport of baseball. Currently, he competes as a right-handed pitcher for Texas Christian University, a prestigious program that has played its way into the College World Series four times in its past seven seasons, including back to back to back appearances in 2014, 2015, and 2016. In essence, the competitive nature of baseball has helped grow and develop Mitchell's leadership skills and abilities on and off the field.

Today, he studies through the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University with plans to receive a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Studies. As a student-athlete, Mitchell volunteers with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, an on-campus Christian organization for male and female students. He currently holds the position of Student President for the association on the TCU campus, and has been recognized for his efforts. In May 2014, he was awarded the Bob Lilly Student-Athlete of the Year Award for his integrity upheld in baseball, academics, and volunteer work.

Upon completing his baseball career at Texas Christian University, Mitchell plans to pursue his passions by playing professional baseball. Mitchell has been selected three times in the Amateur Major League Baseball Draft, but after his most recent selection in the 17th Round by the Cincinnati Reds, the Lord led him to return to campus for one final year. His future aspirations are to compete at the major league level for the remainder of his playing career. Wherever his path may lead, he knows that God guides his steps and it is by faith in God's grace that he lives.
